After cooking, the whole grains remain fluffy and separate - making this versatile long grain brown rice especially suitable for stuffings, pilafs, salads, casseroles, and stir-fry dishes.

Ingredients

Organic long grain brown rice.

Suggested Use

Stove Top Cooking Instructions
Servings (about 3/4 cup cooked rice)24-58-9
Rice (dry)1/2 cup1 cup2 cups
Water or Broth*1 cup1-3/4 cup3 1/2 cups
Butter or Oil (Optional)1 1/2 tsp1 Tbsp2 Tbsp
  1. Combine rice, liquid, and butter or oil in a pot, and bring to a boil.
  2. Cover with a tight-fitting lid. Reduce heat to maintain a low simmer. and cook for 45 minutes. 
  3. Remove from heat (keep covered) and steam for 10 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.

*If rice is too firm at the end of cooking, it may be necessary to add 1-2 Tbsp. liquid and cook longer. 

Rice cooker instructions: To prepare in a rice cooker, use the same liquid to rice ratio. 

We recommend refrigeration for extended shelf life.
